Where to fish in northern Ohio

Lake Erie - WEST

West of Cleveland along the shores of Lake Erie in Ohio, there are several fantastic fishing locations. Here are some notable spots:


Lorain Harbor

About 30 miles west of Cleveland, Lorain Harbor is a popular fishing destination known for its diverse fishery. The harbor and surrounding waters offer opportunities to catch species like steelhead, walleye, perch, and smallmouth bass. The breakwalls and piers are favored spots for anglers.

Vermilion

Further west along the coast, Vermilion is a picturesque town with a rich maritime history. The Vermilion River and its mouth into Lake Erie provide excellent fishing opportunities. Anglers can target species like walleye, steelhead, perch, and smallmouth bass. The Vermilion Lighthouse and the nearby breakwall are popular spots.

Huron

Catawba Island
